A photographer that I work with often was not able to shoot Marc and Lauren's wedding, so she referred them to me. Honored to have the referral! We took engagement pictures at the venue where they will be getting married on Aug 30, 2014. Here's one from that session.

Jack and Heather

Jack and Heather had their wedding and ceremony at Victory Ridge Country Club in Denver. It was such as nice wedding! No loud band, very relaxed. The piano player was so talented! The weather threatened rain, but stayed away during the ceremony.

Travis and Tamara

The second couple that I am working with from the referral from my high school classmate is Travis and Tamara.

We shot their pics at a pond that is on the family has on their property. Very pretty, and private. Some late afternoon sun provided some great lighting for us.

Mitchell and Molly

Wedding at my old church, reception at Rodi in Gastonia. Familiar territory all!
Beautiful wedding, fun reception. Glad to have been a part of it.

Molly

Molly and Mitchell heard about my work via word of mouth at their church, First United Methodist in Mt. Holly. Which shares the same parking lot as the studio. I'm sure to never have a wedding closer to the studio! She liked the gallery of Candice's bridal shoot so much we decided to shoot her bridal pics in the same venue. Terrific spot, with great results.

Bridal Wedding

Lisa and Billy

A fellow Patriot from the class of 1982 learned that I was a photographer at our 30th high school reunion. She likes my work, and hired me to shoot both of her sons weddings this year! Billy and Lisa's engagement photos were the first up. We spent a warm (ok, hot) afternoon at Freedom park. A favorite location, good results!

Tesha and Jusu

Tesha and I spent a lot of time together! She opted for the full package, which includes engagement and bridal pictures. Her galleries came out great. Wishing her and Jusu all the best.

Returning Customers

It's great to have families that love your service, and have a family shoot every year or two. Here's one from one of my best customers!

Dogs are Family Too

Another co-worker wanted a family shoot at Freedom Park. (I see a trend here..). Their two dogs had a blast!

In the neighborhood...

Tara and Ben live in my neighborhood, and as it turns out so does her parents! This made for the shortest drive ever to a photo shoot! We had great light and fall colors, and a terrific session.

High School Buddy

Annette, a friend from High School was getting married at the Gaston County Courthouse. Very low key affair, just family. And yours truely! I was invited to capture the morning service. Here's a pic of everyone afterwards. I think they were ready to get started on their beach vacation!

MI5K 2013

Christ United Methodist Church put on the inaugural Mountain Island 5K race on Saturday November 2nd at Coulwood Middle School in Charlotte, NC. I was asked to do the photography for the event. With over 120 people registered, I was very busy getting pictures before the race, and capturing the finishers. A foggy morning made for some interesting early pictures.

Alicia's Bridal Portraits

This was my second bridal portrait session, and my first photo session at Freedom Park. Such as great place for portraits!

Maurice and Cerise's Wedding

Maurice and Cerise were wed in a church that at first glance looked like it has good lighting, but turned out to be a challenge. I'm glad I came to the rehearsal to decide on my camera settings early. Doing my homework paid off, as the ceremony shots turned out just fine.

Their reception was at a hall I had not heard of called, "Extravaganza". Lots of space, high ceiling, and a live D.J. made for a reception to remember.

Frank and Machetta

I had a busy summer, with two weddings only a few weeks apart. The first of these was for Frank and Machetta. They had a small wedding at a beautiful chapel in Matthews, NC, with a reception at the same location. Good light and weather made for a great wedding!

The couple loved the results, and left a glowing review, which you can read on my website.

Bridgett's Family Shoot

I do the recital pictures at Main Street Dance Works. Sometimes a family from the studio will contact me for a shoot. That's how I got in touch with Bridgett. She had lots of extended family in town and wanted to do some family portraits.

They had a great back yard for a shoot. Don't you think??

Ariana at 5 Days Old

Ariana's parents were referred to me from a client I shot an engagement shoot with. They were impressed with my work, and wanted to get some newborn portraits at the studio.

Baby shoots are challenging because you are on the baby's schedule. With some patience, we were able to get some great shots. Here's one of my favorites.

John's Woodworking

I was recently asked to photograph a woodworking collection by a member at my church. John has been doing woodworking since the early 1980's. His vast collection really showcases his talent!

We decided to do the shoot at his house, with a white backdrop to really show off his creations. Along the way, I got some nice shots of him practicing his craft.

Here is one of my favorites from the session.
